Let me share something with you that took me years to fully understand: every success that lasts is built on the same foundation. Not talent. Not timing. Not connections. Integrity.

You can build a fortune without it. You can build a reputation without it. But you cannot keep either one. Sooner or later, what was built without integrity comes apart — and it usually comes apart quickly.

The One-Lie Rule

I've said it many times: it only takes one lie to taint your entire testimony.

Think about that. You can spend years building trust — delivering on your promises, showing up when you said you would, doing what you said you'd do. And one moment of dishonesty can unravel it all.

If there are steps you'd rather not explain, those are the cracks in the foundation. And the higher you build on a cracked foundation, the harder the eventual fall.

Start With the Truth

The beautiful thing about integrity is that it's available to everyone, right now, regardless of where you are.

You don't need money to be honest. You don't need permission to keep your word. You don't need a title to be accurate and reliable.

Start by telling yourself the truth. If you're behind, admit it. If you made a mistake, own it. If you need to change, say so.

The truth isn't always comfortable, but it is always solid. And solid ground is the only ground worth building on.
